David Puente is an Emmy-winning journalist with 15+ years of broadcast news experience. David has served as a broadcast executive, producer and reporter at ABC News, CNN and several European networks. For Clarity, David is able to leverage his journalism and communication expertise to help prepare executives and leadership teams for media appearances, speeches, presentations and on-stage events. Some of his clients include NBC News, Facebook, L’Oreal, Meredith Publications, Luxottica, Brew PR, The Rockefeller Foundation, and new technology companies including Paragon One, Fuisz Media and Celmatix Inc. Additionally, David has expertise in executive public speaking and diversity and inclusion, and has worked with HR teams at leading companies including Disney and Time Warner. He is also a frequent speaker at business conferences both as a moderator and panelist.

David also spearheads Clarity’s Latin American outreach, in the U.S., Central and South America. His professional experience with the Latino community is vast.

David was the first network journalist to regularly cover news about Latinos in English as the creator of a digital project at ABC News called Exclusiva. David interviewed influencers including Bolivia’s Evo Morales, Chile’s Michelle Bachelet, Ecuador’s Eduardo Correa and artists Jennifer Lopez, Antonio Banderas, Placido Domingo, and Penelope Cruz. David has reported from across Latin America including Cuba where he worked with Barbara Walters on her historic interview of Fidel Castro. He was most recently a producer at CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 and reported on-air for CNN Español. He was part of the founding team of In America, a CNN blog about identities and perspectives of diverse communities in the United States. 

In addition to his Emmys, David was awarded the "Hombres Destacados (Outstanding Men) Award" from El Diario La Prensa. He has received several philanthropic awards including the 2006 Disney Cast Community Fund Grant and The 2010 Time Warner Heiskell Award for Community Service. He speaks Spanish, French and studies Arabic.
