Melissa Hellen is a founding member of Clarity Media Group who, along with Bill McGowan, built the company from its inception in 2001. Prior to joining Clarity, Melissa served as a business consultant to many Fortune 500 companies bringing business sense and corporate experience to the table.
As one of the most tenured trainers on the Clarity Team, Melissa has moved in and out of management positions to serve the company’s best interests. She operated as Managing Director during Clarity’s early growth phase and most recently, Executive Director of Client Relations. Clients know her best in her role as a Senior Communications Specialist.
Melissa leverages her breadth of knowledge and insights into Clarity’s capabilities to deliver specialized training programs that directly respond to clients’ specific needs. Her extensive expertise is the result of her coaching experience that spans virtually every industry, from non-profit, tech and finance, to beauty and fashion, publishing and celebrity endorsement. She has prepared hundreds of C-level executives for media interviews, presentations, and speeches. Many years of coaching provides Melissa with a deep well of strategies to bring forth a client’s confidence and polish. As a Coach, Melissa has a keen sense for tailoring her approach to meet the specific needs of each client’s openness, skill set, and messaging complexity. Her long-standing relationships with clients enable her to operate as if an internal resource, staying aligned with the brand’s message, mission, and culture to ensure spokespeople are memorable and consistent.
Melissa has created and delivered unique training programs for startup teams, municipalities, as part of conferences, and corporate events. She has worked with many top PR firms, publishing houses, tech elite, emerging, and familiar logos.
